The solar power set "PV Power I" offers a stand-alone 230V AC power supply at low costs and top quality. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, in particular for remote summer houses and weekend homes. You may connect AC consumers up to 200W continuous load and 450W short-term peak load. The excellent overload capability as well as the true sine wave of the inverter guarantee a safe and trouble-free operation of all consumers such as lighting, TV, video/DVD, radio, water pump, electric tools, fan, cooling box, alarm systems etc.
Features at a glance!
- composition of high quality branded components
- easy installation and operation / plug'n'play performance
- 230V AC true sine 200W power output (450W peak power)
- 80 watt peak polycrystalline solar module
- 100 amp-hours maintenance-free and cycle-proof gel battery
- entirely pre-fabricated cabling for solar module and battery
The set consists of 1x inverter Studer AJ275S with built-in solar charge regulator, 1x 80 watt peak polycrystalline solar module SolarWorld SW80 incl. pitched roof mounting system, 1x 100 amp-hour maintenance-free solar battery Banner SBG 12-100 as well as the entire pre-fabricated cabling for the solar module and battery.
Due to the inverter's built-in solar charge regulator of 10A (short circuit current) charging current, the system may at all times be upgraded by an additional solar module. A total of 2 solar modules type SolarWorld SW80 (80Wp) with an overall output of 160Wp may be installed. Likewise, the storage capacity may even be upgraded by additional batteries of the same make.
Functional Principle
The solar set "PV Power I" consists of three main components: inverter/solar charger, solar modules and battery.
The charge regulator takes care that the energy produced by the solar modules is stored in the battery. It protects the battery against harmful overload and, in combination with an intelligent charging algorithm, it guarantees a long lifetime of the battery.
The inverter transforms the solar energy stored in the battery into 230V AC power. It also prevents the battery from being deep discharged by disconnecting consumer loads in case of a low battery level.
As the solar energy is buffered in the battery, power is available at all times, even at night or during cloudy weather.
Each single component of the power set matches up the other ones perfectly. The integration of inverter and charge regulator, the tailored solar mounting system as well as the pre-fabricated cabling with plug socket reduce installation work to a minimum.
A subsequent upgrading of the set is possible at any time without having to replace any of the existing components!
Performance Data
The actual energy made available by the "PV Power Set I" depends on the geographic location of the installation site. In Central Europe, a constant solar power supply throughout the year is not possible, because of the poor insolation during winter months. Therefore it is recommended to reduce the consumption during these months. In Southern Europe, the seasonal variations are less distinct and, depending on the site of installation, the energy requirement may be covered entirely by solar power.
Below, please find some examples of the daily energy that may be available:
Average daily available energy (Central Europe)
240Wh (ø 4.5kWh/m²/day)
110Wh (ø 2kWh/m²/day)
45Wh (ø 0.8kWh/m²/day)
Durchschnittliche Tagesenergieabdeckung (Südeuropa)
320Wh (ø 6kWh/m²/day)
210Wh (ø 4kWh/m²/day)
135Wh (ø 2.5kWh/m²/day)

In case the energy production exceeds the consumption (e.g. weekend application), excess solar power will be stored in the battery. Once the battery is fully charged the following amount of energy is available:

In any case, before buying this system, check carefully if your requirements are met, in particular if the power set matches the projected consumer profile. Please, also refer to our FAQs for further information or contact us directly.
