Product Descpription
The Sunny Island 2012 and 2224 extend the product range for the lower power range. The devices not only feature all the proven product characteristics of the “big brother” Sunny Island 5048 – thanks to their reduced weight and compact design, the new family members are even easier to handle and install.
Important! For the operation of the Sunny Iceland 2012/2224, the operating unit SRC-1 is required!
Like its big brother the Sunny Island 2012 and 2224 create together with a battery bank an AC voltage grid in which both electricity consumers and electricity generators are integrated. In order to increase the output of the AC grid, the entire system may be upgraded up to 9kW 1-phase or 3-phase by paralleling several Sunny Island inverters.
The Sunny Island can be easily combined with renewable energy sources like solar or wind power by means of the Sunny Boy and Windy Boy inverters via the AC grid. Furthermore fuel generators can be connected to the system and controlled by the Sunny Island in a particularly fuel-saving manner.
The intelligent power management optimally uses the existing energy resources and ensures a maximum life time of the battery. Due to the robust design of the components these systems may also be operated even under extreme climates. Thus a reliable power supply is guaranteed at all times and wherever it is needed.
The high IP54 protection class and the Sunny Remote Control (SRC-1) give you full flexibility when choosing an installation location. The coupling of both, the power sources and consumers on the AC side allows for the utilisation of an already existing infrastructure and simplifies an on-site installation.
The Sunny Island can be monitored via the optional RS485 interface and the Sunny Webbox. Connected to the Internet, the Sunny Webbox can be accessed from all over the world.
